- She recorded her first song at age 4 after a neighbor hired someone to record her singing “Delta Dawn.”
Susie still remembers the machine that recorded her straight to vinyl, “It was a big and interesting
machine that they used to record me. Unfortunately my neighbor’s house burned down and the record was
lost.”
- She got kicked out of show choir in junior high for complaining about the pesky kid next to her who kept
singing out of tune.
- After high school she worked at a ski resort as a photographer. “The job was great because all you had to
do was work half of the day so long as you were back at the ski lodge to sell your pictures after the day was
over.” Susie was the top sales person.
- Susie studied with world famous gymnastics coach Bella Karolyi. An injury sidelined her goal of competing
at the college level, so instead she taught under Karolyi and then opened up her own studio in Nebraska.
- Singing the national anthem at the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas fulfilled a long held dream for
Susie.
- An animal lover, Susie has a farm outside of Nashville where she learned to train horses. “In my Dad’s
defense it was good that he wouldn’t let me have horses while I was growing up because I would have gotten
into competing at the rodeo and might never have sang!”
- She started her own booking agency when no one else would book her. The agency was so successful that
she booked other artists beside herself.
- The most expensive article of clothing I have ever bought is: a Chloe Top
- One article of clothing I've owned and worn longer than any
other is: Wellsville Warriors Track Tee from Junior High.
- Susie still flies all over the country as a radiation therapist as her touring schedule will permit.
- While in Chicago Susie won the Chicago Music Awards Entertainer of The Year Award – no small feat for
a country band in a one of America’s largest metropolitan areas.
- Ever the Renaissance woman, Susie has even driven her own big rig!
